Intermediate Yoga
Let your spirit soar! A challenging vinyasa (flowing) yoga practice
interlaced with spiritual teachings, chanting, pranayama, asana and
meditation set to inspiring music. Everyone is welcome to practice at
their own level utilizing modifications as necessary and awareness of
ahimsa (non-harming). Playfully explore a wide range of transformational
postures, including back bends, inversions, and shoulder stands. Purify
the body and experience a greater depth and joy in your personal
sadhana... Truly liberating!
"HOT" Yoga and "HOT Yoga & Conditioning
Our most popular classes at
Breathe! "Hot" is an intermediate Level practice w/ studio temperature
set between 85-90 degrees. The heat enhances flexibility, detoxifies,
aids in weight loss and is considered to be the "fast track to
transformation". Are you ready? Please bring a towel and water bottle
in addition to your mat.
"COOL FLOW" Yoga
Same as above but without the heat.
YIN Yoga
This class uses the Yin approach to Hatha yoga which means to perform deep, long, held poses that open and re-align the connective tissues of that body. This cultivates a peaceful and meditative mind through stillness and self-reflection and promotes greater vitality by opening the energitic pathways in the subtle body. Ideal for all levels including pregnant women in their 1st and 2nd trimesters.
Basic-Beginner Yoga
A good place to begin your yoga journey! No experience required.
Emphasis is on listening to the body while building a strong yoga
foundation. Focus is on deep conscious breathing, learning the flowing
sequence of the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) and using it to link
basic yoga postures. Move at a slow, steady pace in a fun, learning
environment with attention to safety and form. Start with modified
versions of postures and move into deeper expressions as you develop
endurance, strength, flexibility and balance.
Gentle Yoga
Emphasis on deep conscious breathing, full body stretching and
relaxation (may also include a period of meditation/contemplation).
Lots of modifications and moving slowly w/ intention to savor the full
effects of the postures. Includes restorative postures with the
supportive use of props, such as blankets, straps and bolsters, to allow
for deep releases and enhanced flexibility. Perfect for persons who
want to balance out the more vigorous yoga practices, regain strength or
range of motion after illness or surgery or simply want a practice that
promotes overall health and outlook on life.
"Find Your Inner Bliss" Free Community Yoga (cancelled until further notice)
Offered every 1st Sunday of the month, a Gentle level class emphasizing
the use of yoga to cultivate ease and contentment for the body and mind.
Purposely designed with a slow pace and gentle but effective
movements, this class offers soothing refreshment for the body and soul.
The practice honors and is dedicated to the Favor House, a local
organization devoted to helping women and children overcoming domestic
violence and abuse. Donations welcomed.
"Nifty Over Fifty" Yoga
Enjoy the calm, peace and self-acceptance of yoga amongst a group of
like-minded warm hearted souls. Classes include classical standing and
seated postures and breathing techniques. Modifications and adjustments
for your body's needs will be offered. Gentle flowing sequences to
warm up the muscles and increase flexibility with minimal getting up and
down from floor. All classes include final relaxation and a period of
guided meditation. You will gain exposure to the philosophy of yoga and
explore yoga as a life practice to integrate your body, mind and
spirit. Learn, laugh, and love your way to optimal health and wellness!
Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to experience all the benefits of yoga
without getting up and down from the floor. All postures will be done
either sitting or standing using the back of a chair for support.
Classes will include deep conscious breathing (pranayama), full body
stretching, yoga postures (asana), and guided meditation. Truly yoga for
every body.... suitable and recommended for people who are recovering
from illness or surgery, Persons w/ weight issues, Seniors and anyone
who is seeking a life full of vitality, balance, and vibrant joy.
Pranic Healing & Twin Hearts Meditation
A healing system of clearing and opening up the chakra centers and chi
energy channels in the body. Twin Hearts Meditation is a guided 20
minute meditation for world peace. Come feel cleaner, lighter and
brighter.
